The annual Fiesta Celebration 2010 of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce honored the heroes who champion the business community and those who fight for the country’s freedom and safety. The Chamber’s Moving Forward Award was given to Richard Castro of Castro Enterprises.

Keynote speaker, Major General Dana J. H. Pittard discussed Fort Bliss, renewable energy and dealing with people. He noted that the growth at Fort Bliss was made possible in part by the people of El Paso joining together in the fight for an inland desalination plant that provides sufficient water to sustain a major influx of people. /// |
